Old scuba diving suits?
What is the name of the old scuba diving suits that you where the huge helmet and suit? Like the ones the Big Daddies on BioShock wear(lol).
And if you do know what I am talking about can you give me some facts on them?

Usually just called hard hat rigs. Some still call them John Browns.
We still wear variants of them today, just not as heavy in the mellon department.
They’re not scuba by the way, it’s called surface supplied diving. The air source is a compressor or tank cascade on the surface support platform. Scuba is a self contained (diver portable) air delivery system. Surface supplied isn’t. You’re connected to the surface via an umbilical, much like the early astronauts doing EVA’s outside of their vehicles without a backpack. No hose…no air.
