How to repair a deep scratch in solid wood?
my children solid pine baby crib is all scratched and scratched deep in the forest, how could heal as a crib is beautiful. has a lacquer finish.
Because pine is very soft. Not Sure whether this would be an option for you, but I repainted the top of it. It is not hard to do. The reason for this is again softwood would put a few coats of polyurethane on it. What you have to do is take the top layer of finish. You can use sandpaper grain 200. After scratching off the finish. Want to repair the scratch. Not sure what color you have in it? You can go to any hardware store to get a fill for this Minwax do good. Repair zero and then re-coat it. Poly finish is harder and will last longer than you have now. If the Re layer is not an option. Use Minwax filler rod.
