How can you hang a window box outside that hangs inside the window and not lose the AC? (Wrought Iron)?
Herb garden My girlfriend is a wrought iron boxes that have been hanging hooks that slide over the edge of the windowsill, so the plants are plants of the window. I have to be able to close the windows for many reasons. (as we live in Florida and is hot and windos will not close / lock boxes there. can anyone help? boxes are the width of the windows, wrought iron, and coconut are fitted to keep the plant in
You could put a strip of foam or weather really thickness of depletion in the gap and close the window above it to stop air loss. Then put a piece of wood or bar for adjusting the tension between upper frame and lower frame to prevent opening from outside. It would probably be safer if we would find a way to just attach permanent hooks on the outside of the window, so you have to mess with him.
